About Liddle & Sons

Brothers Roger and Ian Liddle purchased an aerial crop spraying business in 1979. This venture grew and they opened similar operations in 3 other locations. The brothers divided the company and went their separate ways. From the early days a small section retailed in agricultural chemicals. In 1994 an opportunity to grow within the agricultural products and services industry presented itself that called for the start of a new company; Liddles & Sons.

Roger and wife Heather, now also with three sons involved in the business, focus on developing more cost effective fertilisers for sugar cane farmers, giving solid advice and a complete customer service. Liddles & Sons consists of three overlapping companies:

  • Liddles Agricultural: Has an AGSAFE accreditation and offers granular fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, soil testing and agronomy advice. Their newest venture is to manufacture a liquid fertilizer called LiquaForce. Cameron is heavily involved in this side of the business, running the day to day operation of the depot as well as assisting with the development of liquaforce and boomerang spray hoods.
  • Liddles Air Service: Liddles & Sons own two spray planes that are used in aerial agriculture, and three passenger aircrafts that are servicing the tourism market in Ingham and surroundings. Joshua is the chief pilot, winner of the Aerial Agricultural Association Award for professionalism.
  • Liddles Aero Engineering: Servicing and maintaining the company's own planes as well as other aviation clients. Rick is chief engineer and is a helicopter specialist, with a wealth of experience from working in various parts of Australia and PNG.
